Should I join UET Peshawar or NUST?

 

6 years back in August 2012, I was asking the same question whether I should join NUST or UET Peshawar.

Let me inform you about my situation first. I was about to get admission in preferred faculty at UET Peshawar and got admission in a low merit programme (BE GeoInformatics) at NUST which is still relatively a low merit and somehow less preferable for new comers and the reason of this is not quality or employment ratio it is just because of awareness among the student. I joined NUST The employment ration of that programme is more than 95 percent, in my opinion. One thing is evident from this: It is not the preference or merit of a programme which decide the market value.

Now, let’s come to you main question whether you should choose NUST or UET Peshawar. UET Peshawar is a good and old institution providing quality education to masses but after graduation it doesn’t only about your grades and academic or professional qualification.

NUST is a complete lifestyle. Each day you learn something new, not in terms of academics but in terms of how you live life? How you deal with others? How to treat others? and Most specifically how to tolerate others? NUST give you a new exposure which probably none of the universities in Pakistan can give you. It gives you a sense of inclusion and when you’re graduating, you, your family and all the people related to you can feel the change NUST has brought in you.

It firstly make you and human being and after that an academically competent person who doesn’t only excel in his field of expertise but who also know how to live life in certain circumstances.

You should definitely join NUST and you’ll never ever regret it. Never, ever
